Kim Morris


  • Kim is principal of Kim Morris Associates and has been operating for 30 years in the Australian tropics.
  • He is based in Cairns Queensland, and specialises in landscape and horticulture design of projects from residential to resort gardens and public spaces in Australia, Singapore, China, PNG and the Western Pacific.
  • Kim is an accredited industry trainer and assessor and has been a member of the team to develop the National Landscape Training Program for the Singapore Government’s National Parks Board.
  • He is a co-partner of the award winning Garden City Design Co responsible for the design and management of the Sino Australian Friendship Garden Zhanjiang China
  • Currently works with the Office of Australian War Graves for horticulture design of the PNG and other Australian War Cemeteries.
  • Manages the prestige Mirage Condominiums Port Douglas landscape and frequently designs and works on solar vegetable production in remote Australian communities.
  • Kim is resident garden writer for The Cairns Post newspaper, and writer for Burkes Backyard, Home and Garden and subTropical Gardening Magazines. He is currently writing two tropical garden books and is an occasional ABC Radio Far North garden broadcaster.
  • He is current National President of the Australian Institute of Horticulture and secretary of the Cairns Landscaping Industries Cluster (CLIC).
